LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT LIBRARY
About the Library:
The library of Legislative Department is part and parcel of the department. The library came into its existence in the year 1988 to fulfil the official requirements of the officers as well as the staff of the department. The library has played a vital role for examination and study of various legal problems and issues in respect of drafting and vetting of principal and subordinate legislations. The legislative department library is not for public use. The department library contains only law related documents i.e. books, journals etc. which are meant only for the official use for the officers and other staff of the department in connection with their legal scrutiny and reference for disposing of various files.
Library Collection:
The Library has an impressive collection of State and Central Gazette notifications, State Acts, Law Books, Law Journals etc. State Acts of Assam are available both in printed and digital form (in the website of the department)
